CS2 Premier Season Two

The start of a new season is always exciting, and in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), it’s no different. On January 31, 2025, we’ll bid farewell to Premier Season One and welcome the start of Premier Season Two. Here’s everything you need to know to celebrate the transition, earn your medals, and dominate the new season.

Celebrate Premier Season One with a Commemorative Medal

If you participated in Premier Season One and earned a CS Rating (CSR), you’ll be rewarded with a Premier Season One Medal. This isn’t just a flashy addition to your inventory—it’s also packed with valuable insights about your performance. By clicking on your medal, you’ll unlock detailed Season Statistics, including:

  • Graphs of your CSR progression and total playtime.
  • Map-specific stats to help you identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Whether you crushed your matches on Inferno or struggled on Mirage, this is your chance to reflect on your Season One highs and lows as you prepare for the challenges of Season Two.

What’s New in Premier Season Two?

Season Two brings fresh updates, including changes to the map pool, weapon adjustments, and a brand-new medal to earn.

1. Map Pool Update

  • Train is in: The classic map makes its triumphant return to the competitive pool.
  • Vertigo is out: Say goodbye (for now) to the skyscraper battles of Vertigo.

2. Weapon Changes

  • M4A4: Slightly cheaper, making it a more accessible option in buy rounds.
  • FAMAS: Improved accuracy when standing or crouching, along with a price reduction. Expect it to be a more viable choice in tight economic situations.

These changes are sure to shake up the meta, so be ready to adapt your strategies as you climb the ranks.

Premier Season Two Medal: How to Earn It

Just like Season One, Season Two offers a Premier Medal to showcase your achievements. Here’s what you need to do to claim yours:

  1. Win 25 Premier Matches: Only Premier victories count, so get ready to grind.
  2. Maintain an Active CSR: Keep playing until the end of the season to ensure your medal eligibility.
  3. Keep Your Account in Good Standing: No bans or penalties—clean gameplay is key.

Medal Design

Your Premier Season Two Medal will reflect your skill and dedication:

  • The medal color corresponds to your highest CS Rating achieved.
  • Bars on the medal represent your total Premier match wins, with one bar for every 25 wins (up to five bars).

The season concludes after the Austin Major, so mark your calendars and aim for the top!

Recalibration Day: January 30, 2025

As we transition to Season Two, there will be a one-day downtime for Premier matchmaking. During this time:

  • Your CS Rating will be recalibrated based on your Season One performance.
  • Once Season Two begins, you’ll need to win 10 matches to re-establish your CS Rating.

This recalibration ensures a fair and balanced start for all players in the new season.
