What are all the new CS2 Stickers in the Ambush Sticker Capsule?

On February 7th, 2024, the Counter-Strike 2 community was blessed by Valve with the release of the "Call To Arms" update. The game's first content update included the new Kilowatt Case, the Kukri Knife with the original knife finishes, the Arms Race, and a brand new sticker capsule, the Ambush Sticker Capsule, featuring 21 new stickers. In addition the update also introduced the ability to place stickers wherever a user specifics on a weapon model, rotate stickers, and a 5th sticker position to all guns. This article will give an overview of the 21 new stickers implemented into Counter-Strike 2 with the addition of the Ambush Sticker Capsule.

The New High Grade Stickers

There are 8 new High Grade rarity stickers within the Ambush Sticker Capsule, which includes the This Is Fine (Chicken) sticker that is in addition to the already implemented CT, Hostage, and T versions of the sticker; the Retro Zeus sticker, which is in the style of an old cartoon, the Please Return To sticker that can be applied to the point at a nametag, a Peek-A-Boo sticker which is a creepy dude in a vent, the AKickflip-47 which is inspired by kickflipping in CS made popular by Twitch streamer PSP1G, Easy For Ricksaw inspired by the CT agent, the Bum A Smoke, and lastly the Angry T sticker which looks like me when I lose a premiere game.

The New Remarkable Stickers

The remarkable stickers introduced within the new sticker capsule include the Lotus Glitter and the Pushing Smokes Glitter. In addition, there is also the Try Hard Holo, the Loving Eyes Holo (for all the anime lovers who play CS2), the Lit Holo, and the Cedar Creek Holo. These stickers' holo and glitter effects really pop with Counter-Strike 2's new lighting engine and look fantastic!

The New Exotic Stickers

The new exotic stickers include the Lost In Smoke Foil, the On An Eco Foil, the Ouchie Foil, and the Factory Sealed Foil. When sunlight hits foils within Counter-Strike 2, the colors SHINE and look great. However, the stickers appear way more washed out and dark when you are inside or in dark areas than in CSGO.

The owner of the famous +$1,000,000 AK-47 Case Hardened Scar Pattern #661 hilariously used the new Ouchie Foil sticker to cover all of the blue on his blue gem AK. The new stickers appear to be a huge hit with crafters, with more than 1,000 of each sticker being applied since their release only a week ago!

The New Extraordinary Stickers

While only three new Lenticular stickers are added to this capsule, they all look stunning. The Oystopian Gaze Lenticular has a mesmerizing effect with the pattern within the eye's iris shifting depending on the angle you view it at. The Econometer Lenticular sticker oscillates between "Eco", "Force", and "Buy" depending on the angle you view it at. Lastly, the Old School Lenticular sticker shows the POV of someone playing Counter-Strike 1.6 on a CRT monitor, which is my favorite sticker added to this new capsule.

Conclusion

The "Call To Arms" update, released on February 7th, 2024, marked a pivotal moment for the Counter-Strike 2 community, introducing a wave of exciting features. The Ambush Sticker Capsule, a key highlight of this update, brought forth a diverse range of 21 new stickers across various rarities. From the whimsical High Grade stickers like the "This Is Fine (Chicken)" to the visually captivating Remarkable stickers, including the "Lotus Glitter" and "Pushing Smokes Glitter," each sticker added a unique flair to the game. The Exotic stickers, such as the "Lost In Smoke Foil" and "Ouchie Foil," garnered attention, particularly from crafters who creatively incorporated them into their high-value weapon skins. Notably, the Extraordinary stickers, featuring mesmerizing Lenticular designs like the "Oystopian Gaze" and "Econometer," showcased the level of detail and innovation brought by the update.

The "Call To Arms" update not only elevated the visual aesthetics of Counter-Strike 2 but also demonstrated Valve's commitment to keeping the game vibrant and engaging for its dedicated player base.
